Our speakers

KIAH TWISSELMAN BURCHETT better known as Coach Kiah, is a California cattle rancher turned international motivational speaker on a mission to empower others to love themselves deeper, care for themselves better, and find joy in this messy, beautiful journey of life. If she looks familiar you may have seen her on the Kelly Clarkson show, Good Morning America or on the cover of People Magazine. We're very excited to have Kiah come to Vermont!

Kayla Josefiak is a Certified Christian Mental Health and Life Coach who utilizes Biblical scripture and positive habit change to coach her clients all over the world.  Raised in agriculture, Kayla found inspiration in her family's cattle ranch and continues to be inspired by her life on the farm now. Despite initially pursuing a teaching career, she has since embraced farm wife life; putting God, her husband, her kids, and the farm before anything else.

Kayla sees coaching and speaking as a deeper exploration of oneself and faith. Kayla’s keynote, “Your Struggle Has Purpose,” will share a brief portion of her testimony, provides tactile tools to help you alleviate stress in your day-to-day life, and will walk you through how God is willing to meet you right where you are.

Kayla helps remind us to read our Bible and ask for God's help in everything. Fun fact, Kayla has never been to Vermont and is excited to see our beautiful state.

Jill Messineo resides in Colchester, VT. She has been married to her husband, Chris, for 28 years and they are the proud parents of five children ranging in age from 24-16. She has been the Academic Resource Teacher for Saint Francis Xavier School for the past eight years working with students who need a little extra support to achieve academic success. She is a proud member of the Saint Francis Xavier Parish and head of the Parish Council. Jill’s motto is BELIEVE; believe in God’s love, believe in God’s plans for you, believe you are loved, believe God has given you everything you need to live a fulfilling life here and now. Jill’s faith is central to both her family and professional life and she is so honored to be able to share her experiences with you.

How do I get there and where can I stay?

If you're in Vermont or nearby you can drive. If flying, you have a few options to choose from. Our local airport is BTV in Burlington. Also, we are 2 hours from Montreal, 3 hours from Boston, 4 hours from Maine and 5 hours from NYC. There are train options from NYC available as the Vermonter stops in Vergennes, or you could take the Adirondack train that comes up through New York.  Cape Air flies into Rutland from Boston(1 hour flight)

There are many hotels to choose from. Whether it's the  Double Tree by Hilton in South Burlington, or the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes or the Killington Grand Resort in Killington. There are also many other choices including Airbnbs, and VRBOs.

What else can I do while I'm in VT?

There are many activities especially during our foliage season. You can hike one of our many mountains, or swing by the Shelburne Museum, or Shelburne Farms. Our small city of Vergennes has many restaurants and shops to enjoy. You can venture over to Lake Champlain, the 13th largest lake in America, and walk the bridge and also enjoy the Crown Point, NY or Fort Ticonderoga historic site. You can get pretty much anywhere in Vermont from Vergennes in a few hours.

You can also make it a weekend trip and choose to visit the Botanical Gardens in Montreal, the New England Aquarium in Boston, check out a lighthouse in Ogunquit Maine, or enjoy the bright lights of NYC

What should I bring or wear?

You only need to bring yourself. Come as you are and wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Fall in Vermont usually means jeans and a flannel top! Layers are always a great idea.
